Armed Forces Covenant Proudly supporting those who serve

What is the Armed Forces Covenant?

To those who proudly protect our nation, who do so with honour, courage, and commitment, the Armed Forces Covenant is the nation’s commitment to you.

It is a pledge that together we acknowledge and understand that those who serve or who have served in the armed forces, and their families, should be treated with fairness and respect in the communities, economy and society they serve with their lives.

Armed Forces & Veterans Breakfast Club

Our purpose is to facilitate veterans and serving Armed Forces personnel to meet face to face in a relaxed, safe, social environment to enjoy breakfast and banter, to combat loneliness and allow veterans to ”return to the tribe”

Free to attend, free to join. There are no fees, subs or commitments: we don't exist to support any national charity, organisation or business: just turn up, pay for your breakfast and enjoy the company of other Armed Forces Veterans.

VETERANS COMMUNITY NETWORK

OUR SERVICES

HOW THE VETERANS COMMUNITY NETWORK CAN HELP YOU

These days, there is so much help out there for veterans and their families that it can be difficult to know exactly where to start. Making phone contact can sometimes be difficult and frustrating if you can’t get through on a help line or feel as if you are being sent around in circles.

The Veterans Community Network will never just sign post you to one of these agencies. We have developed personal relationships with all of our partners and from this joined up working, we offer a monthly drop-in Hub. This ‘one stop shop’  approach means that VCN can immediately connect you with the professional who is able to support with issues such as housing, benefits, employment mental health and social isolation.

WHERE CAN YOU FIND OUR SERVICES

The Veterans Community Network is a registered Charity, proudly offering our services across Bedford and Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Milton Keynes & Northamptonshire.  We provide one-to-one support for Veterans, Reservists and military families, through a network of trained Veteran Peer Mentors and Partnership working. The aim of the Charity is to train Veterans as Peer Mentors and then connect them with local veterans and offer support.
